Last month we had the distinct honor of hosting the Node Knockout challengers in NYC along with Nodejitsu. Our team, made up of Levo League developers (now that the amazing Francis Gulotta has joined our team!), won the award for the most innovative submission!
Together we built a Christmas Sweater with an LED readout that talks to the internet.
You can find all the code we used in two repositories. The first one is here, in it you will find three different components. In the app folder you will find the node web application that receives messages for the sweater. In the arduino folder you’ll find the CLIT board which facilitates the sending of messages across the screen of our LoL sheild. In the client folder you’ll find an LoL sheild simulator for testing.
In the second repo found here, in it is a bridge we built for message passing between the web app and the arduino. It was a hack, but something we needed last minute.
The hardware we used is linked below. Our fabulous sweater was garnered at K-Mart.
Shit-ton of LEDs
Below are a whole bunch of photos from the event. We def had a blast!
